Woman killed by daughter-in-law

Chennai, May 31 (UNI) An aged woman was allegedly stabbed to death by her daughter-in-law at Triplicane area in the city today.

Police said the murder took place after the 70-year-old Santhabai, suspected her daughter-in-law Lakshmi's fidelity and had been chiding her for the past several days.

Enraged by this, Lakshmi went up to the top floor of the house where Santhabai was staying, pushed her down, and stabbed her repeatedly.

Santhabai died on the way to hospital.

Lakshmi was arrested.
