VSNL introduces WiMax services in India

New Delhi, May 31 (UNI) To offer high-speed, wireless connectivity to its enterprise customers, Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd (VSNL) today launched WiMax services in the country.

The services, first of its kind in the country, will provide wireless solution to last mile connectivity issues faced by enterptise customers and open up possibilities for retail customers.

''This will help VSNL offer very high quality and seamless connectivity to our enterprise customers,'' VSNL Global Data and Mobility Solution President Vinod Kumar said.

The Company has announced plans to extend its WiMax network to 120 cities across the country for enterprise customers and five cities for retail customers by the end of this financial year.

Currently, VSNL will offer this service in Bangalore.
