JK: Two Hizbul militants arrested in Doda

Jammu, May 31: Two Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militants were apprehended from Dabar Banwar Behota forest areas in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir today, official sources said here.

Acting on specific information about the presence of militants in the Behota forest, 10 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and JK police launched an operation and nabbed the ultras, the sources said.

The duo were identified as Mohammad Rafiq and Abdul Jawar who were active militants of Hizbul Mujahideen. One pistol, 8 rounds, two grenades and a mobile set were recovered from their possession.

During preliminary questioning, the militants confessed to their involvement in several grenade attacks and other militancy-related crime in the district, the sources added.
