Trains cancelled due to Rajasthan disturbances
Indore, May 31 (UNI) Several trains have been either cancelled or rerouted as a fallout of the Gurjar community's reservation-linked disturbances in neighbouring Rajasthan, Railway sources said.
The 2415 Indore-Hazrat Nizamuddin Intercity Express, which was scheduled to depart tomorrow and goes via Kota, stands cancelled along with the 2416 Hazrat Nizamuddin-Indore Intercity Exp, which was to leave for this city tonight.
Other trains that met a similar fate were the 0974 Jaipur-Indore Special, 2952 New Delhi-Mumbai Central, 2953 Mumbai Central-Hazrat Nizamudin August Kranti Exp, 2954 Hazrat Nizamuddin-Mumbai Central August Kranti Exp, 2909 Bandra-Hazrat Nizamuddin Garib Rath, 2955 Mumbai Central-Jaipur Exp, 2903 Mumbai Central-Amritsar Golden Temple Mail, 9019 Bandra-Dehradun Exp and 9039 Bandra-Muzaffarpur Avadh Exp.
Several Mumbai-Delhi trains were either cancelled or diverted.
The latter included the 9023 Mumbai-Firozpur Janata Exp, 2471 Mumbai Central-Jammu Tawi Exp, 2925 Bandra-Amritsar Paschim Exp and 2951 Mumbai-New Delhi Rajdhani Exp that were diverted along the Nagda-Bhopal-Agra route.
The 9019 Bandra-Dehradun Exp was terminated at Nagda while the 129/130 Vadodara-Kota-Vadodara train was terminated between Ratlam and Kota.
The 9024 Janata Exp from Firozpur, 2926 Paschim Exp from Amritsar and 9020 Dehradun Exp from Dehradun were diverted along Palwal, Mathura, Agra, Jhansi, Bhopal and Nagda. These trains would reach Ratlam tomorrow.
An additional counter each has been set up at Indore and Nagda stations for reimbursing passengers.
