The Activity launches 'Innovation Centres' in schools across India

Bangalore, May 31 (UNI) City-based The Activity, an organisation working with school across India, today launched 'Innovation Centres' aimed at kindling scientific curiosity among school children and encourage them to think, innovate and be creative.

'Kids Invent' a concept developed at the Lyles Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, California State University and Indian Innovators Association would be partners for these Innovation Centres.

Ed Sobey, co-founder Kids Invent, one of the leading providers of innovation based learning activities for school children and partners of Innovation Centres had an interactive workshop with children from various schools.

Speaking to newspersons here, Dr Sobey said the aim of the workshop was to ensure that through simple, fun filled activities, children could get an experience in developing approach to learning science. "Kids Invent is working closely with The Activity to bring our innovative programs to children throughout the country," he added.

The Activity Managing Director Syed Sultan Ahmed said the strength of this program was its highly interactive content designed especially for Indian kids that helps them develop interest in pure sciences.

The company would launch the Innovation Centres across Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Kolkata, Hyderabad and other major cities starting June this year. It was targeted to reach 20 schools per city and the target audience ranging from class IV to IX, he added.
