Jaipur, May 31 (UNI) The second round of talks between the four-member Group of Ministers (GoMs), constituted by the Cabinet, and the agitating Gujjar community leaders began here this evening.

State Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria told reporters here that the second round dialogue between the Gujjar community representatives and the GoMs was in progress.

He said the government was making all efforts to persuade the agitating community to shun the path of violence and resolve their issue through dialogues with the government.

He said the first round of talk was held in Dausa late last night and talks would continue till the issue is solved.

Meanwhile, unofficial sources said that the talks were not making any headway as the Gujjar representatives were reportedly demanding categorical assurance from Chief Minister Vasundhare Raje, to include them in the ST list.

The Gujjar representives have reportedly conveyed to the government that they want to hear directly from the Chief Minister.

However, the Home Minister denied there was a deadlock in dialogue, saying the talks were progressing.
