Rich tributes paid to Joginder Hooda

Chandigarh, May 31 (UNI) A 'Sarv Dharam Sabha' (all-religion meeting) today paid rich tributes to late Joginder Singh Hooda, elder brother of Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda at Sir Chottu Ram Polytechnic College at Rohtak today.

People from all religions, Sant Samaj and the members of various social organisations assembled to pay their homage to the departed soul.

Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, Haryana Governor A R Kidwai, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, Union Finance Minister for State Pawan Kumar Bansal, AICC General Secretary Janardhan Dwivedi, HPCC Working President Ram Parkash, fomer Union Minister R K Dhawan, Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker Raghubir Kadian were among those who paid tributes.

Haryana Cabinet members including Finance Minister Birender Singh, Agriculture Minister H S Chatha, Irrigation Minister Ajay Singh Yadav, Education Minister Phool Chand Mullana, Industries Minister Lachhman Das Arora, Transport Minister Randeep Singh Surjewala, Tourism Minister Kiran Choudhry, Urban Development Minister Savitri Jindal, Cooperative Minister Meena Mandal also paid homage to Mr Joginder Hooda.

Addressing the condolence meeting, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said he was indebted to those people who had given moral support and stood by the members of the family since Joginder Hooda was admitted in AIIMS.

The Chief Minister expressed gratitude to the members of the Ex-serviceman League for organising a blood donation camp in the memory of Mr Joginder Singh Hooda wherein about 1,000 volunteers donated blood.
