Rajasthan violence: 19 trains to remain cancelled tomorrow
New Delhi, May 31 (UNI) As many as nineteen trains will remain cancelled tomorrow, including the Ahmedabad-New Delhi Rajdhani Express and the Mewar Express connecting Udaipur and Delhi, in view of the continuing Gujjar violence in Rajasthan.
Five trains will also ply on diverted routes in the interest of passenger safety, as train movement in the North Zone, North Western zone, West Central zone and North Central Zone had been severely affected by the agitation.
Northern Railway cancelled seven trains, followed by North Western Railway and Western Railway five each and West Central Railway and Eastern railway one each, a Railway statement said.
Among the trains that will cancelled tomorrow, are 9105 Ahmedabad-Hardwar Express, 4312 New Bhuj-Bareilly Express, 9263 Okha-Dehradun Express, 2917 Gujarat Sampark Kranti Express, 2059 Kota-Hazrat Nizamudin and Sealdah-Jaipur Express.
The five trains cancelled by North Western Railway for tomorrow are Jodhpur-Varanasi Express, Jaipur-Gwalior Express, Udaipur-Nizamuddin Mewar Express, Jaipur-Bandra Express, and Jaipur-Ernakulam Express.
Northern Railway's cancelled seven trains are Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Jodhpur Rajasthan Sampark Kranti Express, Bareilly-New Bhuj via Delhi Express, Kota Hazrat Nizamudin Jan Shatabdi Express, Delhi-Ahmedabad Ashram Express, Delhi-Ajmer Express, Nizamudin-Bandra Garib Rath Express and Jammu Tawi-Jaipur Express.
Among the trains that have diverted 2904 Amritsar-Mumbai Golden Temple Express and 9024 Firozepur-Mumbai Janata Express and both will ply via Palwal-Mathura-Bhopal and Nagda. On their return also, the trains (9023 and 2925) will take this diverted route.
The 2471 Bandra-Jammu Tawi Express will take a diversion, via Bopal and Nagda.
As many as 41 trains were today cancelled, including the Delhi-Ajmer Shatabdi Express and Delhi-Ahmedabad Rajdhani Express.
Further, Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Porbander Exp, Delhi-Ahmedabad Ashram Express, Jaisalmer Intercity Express, New Delhi-Ahmedabad Rajdhani Express, Nizamuddin-Udaipur Mewar Express, New Delhi-Mumabi Rajdhani and Nizamuddin-Mumbai August Kranti Rajdhani Express also remained cancelled.
