PRTC will have 50 more new buses soon
Chandigarh, May 31 (UNI) To provide better transport facility to the people of Punjab, the State Government will soon add 50 more new buses in ''Punjab Gaurav'' series of Pepsu Road Transport Corporation (PRTC) buses.
Transport Minister Mohan Lal announced this while releasing the joint time table of bus timings of PRTC and private buses here today.
Giving the details, he said under this scheme 43 buses had already been added to the fleet recently.
PRTC had prepared a Joint Time Table of bus timings for PRTC and private operators he said adding this time table will be displayed at the bus stands for the Public to plan their journey in a hassel free manner.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr D S Jaspal, Principal Secretary-cum-Chairman, PRTC, appreciated the efforts of PRTC for preparing this new time table.
Mr Shivdular Singh Dhillon, M.D. PRTC, said the new time table contained the detailed information about concession being provided by PRTC to various categories of commuters, important telephone numbers of the department and bus stand enquiry counters as well as the fare structure. This time table would also be provided at book stalls at bus stands on a nominal cost of Rs 25, he added.
