Police constable shot by NSCN(K)

Kohima, May 31 (UNI) A police constable was injured when he was shot by NSCN(K) cadres at Agri Colony here yesterday.

Police here today said the constable, of the intelligence wing attached to the Raj Bhavan, was admitted to a private nurshing home in a critical condition.

A case had been registered and investigation was on in this regard, police sources added.

Meanwhile, the NSCN(K), claiming the responsibility had alleged that the policeman was loitering in the vicinity of their camp and tried to flee when asked about his identity.
