P V Bhide appointed Revenue Secretary

New Delhi, May 31 (UNI) The government today appointed Mr P V Bhide as Revenue Secretary in the Finance Ministry.

Mr Bhide, an IAS officer of 1973 batch from Andhra Pradesh cadre, was presently working as the Secretary, Department of Disinvestment, in Finance Ministry, an official release said here.

Mr Arun Ramanathan has been appointed as the Secretary in the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals in the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers. He is an IAS officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre of the 1973 batch.

Ms Meena Gupta, IAS officer of 1971 batch, has been appointed as the Secretary, Ministry of Environment and Forests. She was at present working as the Secretary in the Tribal Affairs Ministry.

Mr R C Joshi has been appointed as the Member (Finance) in the Atomic Energy Commission and Member (Finance), of the Space Commission. Mr Joshi, an IAS of Maharashtra Cadre of 1973 batch, was presently working as the Special Secretary, Department of Atomic Energy.

Mr Gautam Buddha Mukherji, an IAS of 1973 batch has been appointed as the Secretary in the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.
