Minister to release report on EPO on June 1

New Delhi, May 31: Union Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath will release a report on engineering process outsourcing (EPO) here tomorrow.

Prepared by the Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) in association with Fergusson and Company, the report focusses on the contribution of EPO in the export sector.

The report will be released on the occasion of an award ceremony being organised by the Council to honour exporters of engineering goods for their outstanding performance.

Engineering exports from India are estimated to have touched the 26 billion dollar mark in 2006-07, making the engineering sector one of the major contributors to India's rapidly growing exports.
