Military helicopter crashed in Afghanistan-NATO

BRUSSELS, May 30 (Reuters) A Chinook military helicopter has crashed in southern Afghanistan, a NATO official said today, but he had no word on casualties.

''I can confirm that,'' he said when asked about reports of a crash. ''There are few details. It's a Chinook and it was in the south.'' The official at NATO headquarters in Brussels could not confirm whether the aircraft belonged to NATO or the US-led coalition operating in Afghanistan.
