Manipur: Militants execute five cadres for revolting
Imphal, May 31: The Kuki National Front (Zougam) militants have killed five of their cadres for revolting and allegedly trying to kill their leaders.
The KNF Information and Publicity secretary today said the five cadres were killed at Churachandpur district yesterday for trying to kill the outfit's leaders and escape with one lathode, four AK series rifles and two M-16 rifles.
Eight persons were involved in the revolt, out of which two had surrendered before the organisation, the Publicity secretary said.
Police said the deceased were kept at the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) morgue for post mortem.
Meanwhile, a militant of the Islamic National Front (INF) has announced that its chairman and cadres had merged with another outfit, Peoples' United Liberation Front (PULF).
