Life term to 5 murder accused

Ballia, May 31 (UNI) A court here today gave life terms to five murder accused and slapped a fine of Rs 20,000 each.

Additional District and Sessions Judge (II) Vikas Kuwar Srivastava passed the judgement on Rajesh Ranjan, Sanjeev Ranjan, Brij Raj Gupta, Rupesh Patel and Rakesh Dubey.

In the event of non-payment of penalty, the accused will have to undergo an additional 3 years rigourous imprisonment.

According to prosecution, Shailendra Singh of Akhar village went missing in December 2005. Later, his body was recovered from the house of Rajesh, a restaurant owner.
