Kochi, May 31 (UNI) A writ petition had been filed before the Kerala High Court by Mr V S Arun Kumar, son of the Chief Minister V S Achuthananandan, challenging the decision of the Syndicate, Kerala University which cancelled his Phd registration.

According to official sources, the reason stated by the University to cancel the registration was that the petitioner is not eligible for Phd since he did not complete the seven years practice as a teacher.

The petitioner contended that the finding of the Syndicate was not sustainable. The petition will come up for hearing tomorrow.
