India Post releases stamps on national parks
New Delhi, May 31 (UNI) India Post today brought out a set of commemorative postage stamps on five national parks in the denomination of Rs 5.
The stamps on Mudumalai, Bandipur, Bandhavgarh, Periyar and Kaziranga national parks was released by Minister of State for Communications and IT Dr Shakeel Ahmad.
Dr Ahmad said these stamps will spread the message of conservation and will educate the public about the efforts made in this direction.
India Post has issued about 117 stamps on nature, wildlife and environment including those on Jim Corbett, Ghana Bird Sanctuary, Kanha National Park and Project Tiger.
