HSL delivers 30,000 DWT trader vessel to GML

Visakhapatnam, May 31: The Hindustan Shipyard Ltd (HSL) today delivered a 30,000 DWT trader vessel bulk carrier to Goodearth Maritime Ltd (GML) Chennai, in the presence of Union Minister for Shipping, Road Transport and Highways T R Baalu.

This is the first vessel built by HSL for Goodearth under the 'trader series'. Chennai-based GML had invested Rs 102 crore for the vessel and would be investing Rs 1,400 crore for getting 16 vessels built under various categories at HSL.

Under the stewardship Chairman and MD Rear Admiral Ajit Tewari said the shipyard would be either laying the keel or delivering a vessel for every six to eight weeks in the coming months. The Indian ship yards including those in the private sector, had been receiving a steady flow of orders.
