Hot, sultry conditions prevail in capital
New Delhi, May 31 (UNI) Hot and sultry conditions prevailed in the capital during the day today as maximum temperature moved over 40 degrees.
The minimum temperature, however, went two degrees below normal, at 25.6 degrees Celsues. The maximum was 40.1, one degree below normal.
The Met department said isolated rains and thundershowers are likely over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand in the next 24 hours.
It predicted mainly dry weather and rise in day temperatures over the rest of the region.
