Raj: Gujjar community ready to talk with GoMs

Jaipur, May 31: The agitating Gujjar community leaders have expressed their readiness to open dialogue with the group of ministers (GoMs) over the issue of its inclusion into the scheduled tribe category.

A community leader spokesman said tonight that they have authorised eight of their representatives to hold talk with the GoMs constituted by the state government to find out the peaceful solution of the ongoing agitation.

The time and venue of the talk will be decided later on, he said.

Meanwhile, one person sustained severe injuries in a mob-police confrontation in Bayana town of Dholpur district earlier in the day, succumed later at the hospital.

With this, a total of 16 people have so far been killed in violence and police firing during the protest and 'chakka jaam' by Gujjar community in different parts of Rajasthan since yesterday.
