Gujarat observes No Tobacco Day

Ahmedabad, May 31 (UNI) Gujarat Health Department and Gujarat Cancer Institute Society today jointly observed ''World Anti-Tobacco Day'' at the civil hospital here today.

On the occasion, Gujarat Health Minister Ashok Bhatt honoured several NGOs, individuals and journalists for their contributions in the ''anti-tobacco'' campaign.

Mr Bhatt urged the people, particularly the youth, to give up smoking and chewing ''Gutkha''. He also urged the need to take the campaign to every nook and corner of the state.
