TN: 'Garuda Seva' of temple held

Kancheepuram, May 31: Hundreds of devotees took part in the 'Garuda Seva' of the famous Sri Varadarajaswamy Perumal Temple here early this morning.

The 'Vaikasi Brahmotsavam' began on May 29 with the hoisting of the holy flag. As part the celebrations, the 'Garuda Seva' took place today with the 'utsavamurthy' (processional deity) being taken in a ceremonial procession on the 'Garuda Vahanam' on the four 'Rajaveethis.'
