Couple son get 3 years prison term for killing relative

Kolkata, May 31 (UNI) A local court in North 24 Parganas district today sentenced three people, including a woman, to 3 years' imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 5000 on each of them in a murder case.

Additional District and Sessions judge Dibyojyoti De found a couple and their son guilty of causing the death of one Akbar Hussain of Bandipur in North 24 Parganas in May 2004 following a family feud.

The victim, a lawyer's assistant in the Barrackpore court in the district, had succumbed to his injuries in the hospital after being assaulted by the guilty.

A murder case was registered with the Khardah police station.
