Central team visits Manipur to assess situation

Imphal, May 31: A five-member official team from the Centre has arrived here on a two-day visit to review the situation in Manipur and discuss various issues with the state government.

The Director General of Central Economic Intelligence, Special Director of Enforcement Directorate and DG of Narcotics Bureau have arrived here yesterday.

Official sources said Chief Secretary Jarnail Singh, state DGP Y Joykumar and other officials discussed various issues with the team.

The issue of introduction of Prevention of Money Laundering Act 2005 along with other issues were also discussed, officials said.
