BJP national executive meet in Jaipur as per schedule: Javrekar

Jaipur, May 31 (UNI) The BJP's national executive will meet here as per schedule for a three-day conclave beginning June 15.

BJP national spokesman Prakash Javrekar told newsmen here today that the meeting had not been postponed as was being reported in some sections of the press.

The national executive would discuss the party's crushing defeat in Uttar Pradesh elections and plans for Assembly elections due later in Gujarat this year.

But now with the Gujjar stir snowballing in Rajasthan, top BJP leaders are likely to give top priority to the reservation issue.

Mr Javrekar said the leaders would hold a threadbare discussion on the reservation issue. Mr Atal Bihari Vajpayee, L K Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and Rajnath Singh are likely to attend the meet.
