BAPS holds rally against tobacco use
Mumbai, May 31 (UNI) The Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swami Narayan Sanstha (BAPS) today observed World No Tobacco Day by holding a children's rally on de-addiction and better living.
The rally, that started from Aazd Maidan to Hindu Gymkhana grounds, saw participation of around 3000 children and 1000 adults.
The rally consisted of 12 decorated floats, and a music band.
The BAPS has carried out many de-addiction campaigns all over.
This year, from April 25 to May 31, around 25,000 boys and girls organised camps at various police stations, municipal offices and railway stations.
The children contacted many people in and around the city and spoke to them about the ill effects of tobacco. The rally consisted of 12 decorated floats in the rally, with 40 bikes, 6 rickshaws and a music band.
