Baalu propagating lies on "Ramar Sethu", alleges BJP

Chennai, May 31 (UNI) Tamil Nadu BJP President L Ganesan today came down heavily on Union Shipping Minister T R Baalu for his statement that the previous BJP-led NDA government had identified the present channel for Sethu Samudram Project.

Addressing a press conference here, Mr Ganesan called Mr Baalu ''a lier'' and demanded that the Centre should come out with a white paper on the issue.

''Let him prove that we had identified the route, which destroys Ramar Sethu. If we had committed the mistake, the party is ready to accept it and offer apology,'' he said.

He (Mr Baalu) cannot go on saying that the NDA government had identified the channel. To make his stand clear, he has to come out with solid evidence,'' Mr Ganesan added.
