AP CM pays tributes to deceased poet

Hyderabad, May 31 (UNI) Expressing shock and grief over the death of eminent Telugu poet and litterateur Gunturu Seshendra Sarma, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said he would be cremated with full state honours.

In a condolence message, the Chief Minister recalled the yeoman services rendered by him as a renowned poet and a critic, both in Telugu and English.

Known for his social awareness and universal vision in his poetry, particularly in his ''Na Desham-Na Prajalu'' (My country and my people), Dr Reddy said the invaluable contributions made by Sarma would be remembered long.

He conveyed his condolences and sympathies to the members of the bereaved family.
