Amit Jogi acquitted in Jaggi murder case; 24 convicted
Raipur, May 31 (UNI) A local court today acquitted Amit Jogi, son of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi, and convicted 24 in the much-publicised case of murder of NCP state Treasurer Ram Avtar Jaggi on June 4, 2003.
The verdict was pronounced in a jam-packed courtroom by Additional Sessions and Special Judge (Atrocities) B L Tidke who also acquitted five accused whom the state police had charged with the murder.
Amit was among the accused in the CBI case. Three police officials, including a city superintendent of police, were among those convicted.
