15 officials found absent in Kashmir
Srinagar, May 31 (UNI) To ensure punctuality in its offices, the Jammu and Kashmir administration today found 15 officials absent from duty in the newly-created Bandipora district, an official spokesman said.
He said a checking squad, headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Bashir Ahmed Bhat, conducted surprise visits to various offices and found 15 officials, including nine district level officers, unauthorisedly absent from duty.
The absentees included Chief Medical Officer, District Youth Services Officer, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, General Manager DIC, Project Officer DRDA, District Panchayat Officer, Chief Education Officer, Assistant Secretary Board of School Education and officer in-charge Rural Employment Exchange.
A disciplinary action has been initiated against the absentee officials, the spokesman added.
