Union Health Ministry reviews Meghalaya's health programme

Shillong, May 30 (UNI) Union Health and Family Welfare ministry officials, headed by Additional Secretary Deepak Gupta, reviewed the overall health programmes in the state.

State Tuberculosis (TB) officer Dr P S Choudhury presented the scenario of the state during the review meeting held here yesterday.

Union Deputy Director General (TB) Dr L S Chauhan said the state was working to improve the health programmes and suggested some strategies to enable the state to achieve target.

The officials also urged the government to intensify supervision and monitoring to control the death due to malaria, especially in Garo Hills districts.
