Ultra convicted for 7 years in Jharkhand

Chatra, May 30 (UNI) A local court today awarded seven years imprisonment to a CPI(Maoist) activist for attacking policemen in this district.

The court of Additional District and Sessions Judge fast track (three) Srikant Rai sentenced Mukesh Turi after he was found gulity of attacking policemen in Meramgadda forest area on May 12, 2005.

The ultra was also a relative of ''self-styled area commander'' Sakaldeo Turi who was killed earlier.
