Trains passing through Rajasthan cancelled or diverted

New Delhi, May 30 (UNI) All major trains, including the Delhi-Mumbai Rajdhani Express, passing through Rajasthan have been cancelled or diverted in view of the violence in the state.

Railway Board Member (Railway Traffic) V N Mathur told newspersons this evening that All major trains, including the Delhi-Mumbai Rajdhani Express and the Delhi-Mumbai August Kranti Express, passing through Rajasthan had been cancelled or diverted due to the unrest in the state.

The decision whether or not to continue the cancellation/diversion would be reviewed tomorrow morning.

At least 15 people died in yesterday's violence in Dausa and other parts of Rajasthan as members of the Gujjar community went on rampage seeking ST status for the community.

large-scale violence in the state continued for the second day today even as the State Gujjar Reservation Action Committee called for the intensification of the agitation.

Mobs also damaged railway tracks, signals and crossings in Dausa.
