Three killed in lightning strike

Gulbarga, May 30 (UNI) Three people, including a teenaged boy, were charred to death and two others suffered burns when lightning struck them in two places in this district of Karnataka, last night.

Police said today that Kasi Rao Ambanna (32) and Akash (13) were killed on the spot and two others injured when lightning struck them while they were taking shelter from rain under a tree at Ratkal village in Chincholi taluk.

In another incident, a farmer Bakappa Bheemappa (50) was killed on the spot when lightning struck him while he was returning from the field at Annava village in Chincholi Taluk.
