Three killed in Lightning

Gulbarga, May 30 (UNI) Three people were killed and two others injured when lightning struck them in two different places in Gulbarga District last night.

Police said today that Kasi Rao Ambanna (32) and Akash (13) were killed on the spot and two others injured when lightning struck them while standing under a tree due to rain in Ratkal village in Chincholi taluk.

In another incident, a farmer Bakappa Bheemappa (50) was killed on the spot when lightning struck on him while returning from the field at Annava village in Chincholi Taluk.

The bodies were sent for postmortem.

UNI
