Tata Chemicals Q4 net at Rs 94.44 crores

New Delhi, May 30: Tata Chemicals Ltd, inorganic chemicals and fertiliser maker, today announced a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 94.44 crore for the quarter ended March 2007 where as the same was Rs 64.42 crore during the same period last year.

Its total income stood at Rs 814.68 crore during Q4FY07, while it was Rs 779.16 crore during Q4FY06.

The figures for the Q4FY06 are unaudited and are not comparable, the company stated in a statement.

Tata Chemicals' Board also recommended a dividend at Rs 8 per share aggregating to Rs 201.33 crore from previous year's Rs 171.69 crore at Rs 7 per share including dividend tax.

For the year ended March 2007, the company posted a PAT of Rs 444.21 crore where as the same was at Rs 353.03 crore corresponding period in the previous year.

Total income during 2006-07 was Rs 4088.74 crore from Rs 3601.94 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006.
