Sugar prices ease further

Mumbai, May 30 (UNI) Sugar prices declined further on lack of demand, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchant's Association said today.

Small and medium grade sugar fell by Rs 10 and five per quintal respectively due to improved offers by stockist.

Ex-mill small and medium grade sugar also came down by Rs 10 and Rs 15 per quintal respectively because of thin buying support.

Following are the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,295/1,330, Medium grade: Rs 1,330/1,395, Ex-mill small grade Rs 1,280/1,295, Medium grade: Rs 1,330/1,350.
