Six CPM workers injured in clashes with AITC and Congress partymen

Bolpur, May 30 (UNI) Altogther six people, including CPM local committee secretary Ataur Rahman were seriously injured when Trinamool Congress and Congress Party supporters allegedly attacked their victory rally here today.

After their victory in Panchayat and District Parishad bypoll elections here, CPI(M) leader Santi Chowdury accused, the Trinamool Congress and Congress Party suddenly attacked their victory rally, injuring their party supporters and workers.

They were later admitted to Bolpur Subdivisional hospital.

TMC leader Anubrata Mondol, however, alleged that the CPI(M) leaders had attacked their suporters as well.

A police team led by Bolpur Police In Charge Kamal Bairagga was combing the village in question in search of the accused.
