Shriram Transport revenue up 56.11% at Rs 1,415.52cr

New Delhi, May 30 (UNI) Shriram Transport Finance Company Ltd (STFC), the largest asset financing NBFC in the country, today said the revenues of the company for the year ended March 31, 2007 surged by 56.11 per cent to Rs 1,415.52 crore as against Rs 906.76 crore of the previous year.

The revenues for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2007 surged by 68.21 per cent to Rs 427.16 crore as against Rs 253.94 crore of the same period previous year.

The profit before tax increased by 18.35 per cent to Rs 69.19 crore as compared to Rs 58.46 crore achieved in the same period last year.

The profit after tax also rose by 28.31 per cent to Rs 48.36 crore as against Rs 37.69 crore recorded in the same period previous year.

The profit before tax increased by 33.81 to Rs 289.24 crores as against Rs 216.16 crore achieved in the earlier year. The profit after tax also rose by 34.44 per cent to Rs 190.41 crore as against Rs 141.63 crore recorded in the last year.

STFC has proposed a final dividend of 20 per cent, this is in addition to the interim dividend of 10 per cent declared at the board meeting held on November 29, 2006 making the total dividend of 30 per cent.

Total Assets under management as on March 31, 2007 increased by 65.74 per cent to Rs 12,047 crore as compared to Rs 7,267 crore as on March 31, 2006.
