Rain Industries to double cement capacity by October

New Delhi, May 30 (UNI) Cement maker Rain Commodities today said its wholly-owned unit Rain Industries will have a production capacity of three million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of ordinary portland cement by October, double from 1.5 mtpa at present.

The company has achieved financial closure for expansion of its cement plant in Andhra Pradesh for which it had invested Rs 334 crore.

The project will be funded by term loans of Rs 240 crore and the balance through internal accruals, Rain said in a statement.
