Quantum appoints StorIT as distributor

Bangalore, May 30 (UNI) Quantum Corporation, a leading global specialist in backup, recovery and archive, today announced the appointment of StorIT, a leading storage specialist, as its value added distributor for India.

The agreement strengthened Quantum's channel strategy in India and leveraged the combined storage expertise of both companies to deliver data protection solutions and consulting services to address the increasingly complex IT environment and high growth levels of data storage, the company said in a release here.

With an extensive network of offices and resellers throughout India, StorIT would market, sell and support Quantum's complete line of storage products for backup, recovery and archive, including tape libraries and auto loaders, disk-based backup systems, tape devices and media, the release added.

The agreement also marked the expansion of Quantum's existing relationship with StorIT. As a distributor in the Middle East and North Africa, StorIT had offered Quantum solutions for more than three years.
