NTPC Q4 net soars 10.75 per cent

New Delhi, May 30: National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC) has registered a 10.75 per cent jump in its net profit at Rs 1,734.7 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2007 compared to Rs 1,566.3 crore in the same quarter previous year.

The company's total income rose from Rs 8,346.4 crore in Q4FY06 to Rs 9,546.7 crore in Q4FY07.

Morever, NTPC has recommended final dividend at 8 per cent of paid up equity share capital in addition to the interim dividend paid at 24 per cent of paid up equity share capital in February 2007.
