Mandira Bedi launches VGN's 'French-inspired' project

Chennai, May 30 (UNI) Bollywood actor and popular cricket anchor Mandira Bedi today launched VGN Enterprises' French-inspired Rs 65-crore residential project coming up here.

The project to come up in West Mogappair was formally launched by Ms Bedi who signed up as the lay out and residential property developer's brand ambassador.

''Ms Bedi will be the face of the company in Tamil Nadu and southern states,'' VGN Director Pratish told reporters here.

An elated Ms Bedi said it had been a wonderful journey from TV serials to films, cricket and being brand ambassador for a real estate firm.

She would play the brand ambassador's role for the company for the next 18 months.

Christened "La Parisienne," the project coming up on a three-acre area, would have 176 residential units of two and three bedroom apartments, in six blocks.

The name comes after famous French landmarks -- L'Ouvre, L'pera, Monimartre, Eiffel, Norte Dame and St German.

The unique feature of the project was an 'astounding' 19,200 sq ft courtyard encompassing a swimming pool, lawn, mini theatre, multipurpose hall, gymnasium, jogging track, sauna and steam bath.

It was strategically located close to Ambattur which was fast emerging as the next IT hub after the the IT Corridor on OMR and cater to the needs of employees of several software and IT companies, Mr Pratish said.

With a land bank of nearly 500 acre in Chennai and its vicinity, VGN would be building seven residential townships to create 20,000 dwelling units in the next three to four years, VGN Managing Director Devadoss said.
