Lalani Group announces its first IT Park project in Pune

Mumbai, May 30 (UNI) The Lalani Group, a city-based reputed construction house, has announced an Information Technology (IT) Park project, Lalani Quantum, at Bavdhan, close to Hinjewadi, the IT hub in Pune.

Lalani Quantum, encompassing an area of around 2 lakh sq ft, is easily accessible from the Mumbai-Pune Expressway as well as the Pune-Bangalore highway. The company will also develop a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and a star hotel in Pune.

Lalani Group director Shamsu Lalani said ''The Lalani Group, which has been instrumental in some of the most professional and quality construction projects in Mumbai, is making an ambitious foray into Pune. The built-to-suit IT Park is strategically located close to a residential belt so as to ensure a steady stream of human resources.'' ''We have deployed the services of an international team to create sophisticated structures in terms of designs and layouts with ultra-modern amenities. We also plan to provide 100 per cent power back-up in addition to the most modern state-of-the-art security and safety support. It will have fun and entertainment zones to make it an exciting place of work,'' he added.

The IT/ITES sector has played a major role in causing the real estate boom in Pune. Growth of the IT/ITES sector has been driving up prices particularly in areas near Hinjewadi IT Park. Several major players like Cognizant, Infosys, TCS, Mphasis, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Kanbay, Persistent Systems (PSPL) and KPIT are all located in Pune. Pune has started expanding from its western end at Hinjewadi and Bavdhan, where the Lalani Group's IT Park is located.

Prices in the surrounding areas have stabilised now, after rising in multiples, during the last few years but still look realistic compared to other metros and IT hubs.
