Kanpur mall catches fire, 50 people stuck inside

Kanpur, May 30: Almost 50 people were reported stuck inside the six-storeyed City Centre Mall, which caught fire here today.

The fire caught the shoppers unawares, after flames started erupting from the 4th floor of the building, situated on the posh Mall Road of the industrial town of Kanpur.

Meanwhile, the fire brigade personnel had reached the spot and rescue opeartions were on.

The adjacent building Heer Palace had been vacated.
