HP Congress suspends former minister for anti party activities
Shimla, May 30 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) today suspended former industries minister Vijay Kumar Joshi from the primary membership of the party with immediate effort for anti-party activities.
''Mr Joshi has been suspended from the party for deliberately acting in a way calculated to lower the prestige of the Congress,'' party general secretary and spokesman Kuldeep Singh Rathore said in a release here.
He said his case has been referred to the state disciplinary action committee of the party for further action.
Yesterday, Mr Joshi had urged the Congress high command to take serious views of the corruption charges levelled against Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and his MP wife besides ordering an inquiry into the whole incident.
