Honourarium for Anganawadi workers hiked
Bangalore, May 30 (UNI) Karnataka Minister for Women and Child Welfare H K Kumarswamy today said that the government has decided to hike the honorarium for Anganawadi workers to Rs 2000 and that of Helpers to Rs 1000.
Speaking at a function in Devanahalli, about 40 km from here, he said that the increase would cost Rs 15 crore to the State Exchequer.
Stating that of the total 52,000 Anganawadi Centres in the State, only 28,000 Centres have their own buildings, he said that the remaining centers would get buildings constructed in a phased manner.
