GPL bags five projects amounting to Rs 455 crore

Hyderabad, May 30: Gayatri Projects Limited (GPL), a city based ISO certified company engaged in execution of major civil works, announed that it had bagged five projects amounting to total value of Rs 455.40 crore in the state.

GPL Managing Director T V Sandeep Reddy said "the major projects among the five were the Rajiv Sagar lift irrigation project at Dummugudem at the cost of Rs 281.61 crore and earth work excavation at main canal at Kadapa district with Rs 111.96 crore."

Raising and widening of flood banks and construction of road and concrete protection for walls were among the three other orders.

The GPL's total revenues and profits touched an all time high as the company's turnover crossed Rs 500 crore and showed a growth rate of 35.28 per cent during 2006-07, Mr Reddy added.
