Crompton Greaves Q4 net up 24.63 pc

New Delhi, May 30 (UNI) Electrical equipment manufacturers Crompton Greaves Ltd has posted a 24.63 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs 69.92 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2007 as against Rs 56.10 crore in the same quarter last year.

The total income increased to Rs 1,003.27 crore in Q4FY07 from Rs 810.21 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal, a statement said.

The company has posted a net profit of Rs 192.37 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 163.05 crore last year.

It recorded a total income of Rs 3,402.49 crore for this fiscal as against Rs 2,553.33 crore in the previous year.

Meanwhile, the company announced the resignation of Mr Karan Thapar as a Director with immediate effect.
