CPI (Maoist) member surrenders before police

Visakhapatnam, May 30 (UNI) Disillusioned with the party ideology, banned CPI (Maoist) Galikonda Dalam member Y Bangar Raju surrendered before Deputy Inspector General of Police Jitender here today.

Police said Raju had joined the extremist movement three years ago and had been an active member. A native of Balarevula village in the district, he was involved in a couple of incidents of exchange of fire with the police.
